10 Week Intermediate Throwing (2026 S1T)
Instructor: Michael Kujawa & Guest Presenters
Service Description
Intermediate Throwing is a 10 week course offering a unique opportunity for those potters with intermediate and advanced skills to participate in a seminar type studio experience in collaboration with guest lecturers and demonstrations to help you extend your skills. This is an opportunity for potters who have already mastered the foundational skills and are eager to deepen their knowledge and enhance their craftsmanship. Participants should be proficient in centering clay independently, creating a 6-inch cylinder, pulling handles, trimming, waxing, and glazing. In this course, we will explore more advanced throwing techniques as well as explore new ways of thinking about structural design that will build upon your existing skill set. The focus will be on refining your personal techniques, discovering your unique artistic voice, and incorporating new methods and forms into your practice. This is an exciting chance to evolve as a potter and express your creativity through clay.
