In our Beginning Throwing course, students will learn the essential skills required to master the pottery wheel, including clay preparation, centering, pulling clay, trimming leather-hard pieces, attaching handles, and basic glazing techniques. Beyond the practical steps involved in transforming a lump of clay into a finished work of art, participants will also be introduced to various clay types and the interplay between form and function in pottery design.
